Didn’t expect that.

No you don’t understand okay my husband is in the Navy and he told me stories about doing shit like this. They would just make up their own shit, as long as they were yelling SOMETHING then they didn’t get in trouble, and even the drill instructors would make shit up like this. And they got WEIRD.

First soldier: [yelling] I’m a Barbie girl!

Other soldiers: [chanting loudly in unison] in a Barbie world!
Life in plastic, it’s fantastic!
You can brush my hair, undress me everywhere!
Imagination, life is your creation!

First soldier: Come on Barbie, let’s go party!

Other soldiers: Ah ah ah yeah!

First soldier: Come on Barbie, lets go party!

Other soldiers: Ooh oh! Ooh oh!

But what if they just happened to cast Andrew Garfield as the boyfriend in Deadpool 2, and someone in the movie is like, “hey, you look just like Peter Par-” but Deadpool tackles them before they can finish and then just looks directly at the camera and is like, “this is my boyfriend, Pete Parkley, and he is definitely not Spiderman because that would be a serious breach of licensing rights.” and then he just grabs Pete and tows him away by the suspicious red spandex collar poking out over the top of his T-shirt

Someone get this to Ryan Reynolds stat

Nothing makes me happier than how proud Arin is with this dumb joke

My favorite part is that Dan legit ignores him the first 2 times because he doesn’t know wtf he’s saying.

Even if you don’t watch Game Grumps, please watch this innocent man hysterically laugh at his own joke

So my friends have a little boy, he’s like 2.5 and they’re already teaching him about consent. He has this friend at daycare, a little girl, and the other day he wanted to hug her goodbye but she didn’t want him to, and his dad said “No, buddy, not everybody wants hugs and she doesn’t so you have to just wave goodbye.” He was sad and confused for a sec but then he was just like “K bye” and waved. Later that night, he tried to pet the cat but she ran away and he was just like “[cat’s name] just wave bye, not hug!” Like he got it. Immediately. Teach kids about consent as early as possible. They’ll get it.

this is important!

Also, don’t force your kid to accept physical affection when it makes them uncomfortable, even if it hurt’s grandma or whoever’s feelings. teach them that their “no” is important!

My sister inforces this at her daycare. If the kids don’t wanna hug each other goodbye she goes “aww thats fine maybe next time!” And they listen and just say goodbye. And they always ask each other if they can hug now. So important!

The fact that Manveer Heir is heavily involved in the development of the next Mass Effect game, and doesn’t tolerate sexism in video games, gives me a lot of hope for the future of the franchise.

Manveer Heir is one of the best things to happen to AAA games development.  He’s been active not just on Twitter talking about sexism, but along with gaming sites (Rock Paper Shotgun) and on video.

He’s always calling for games to be more inclusive and for creators to listen to people from marginalized identities when they talk about their concerns and their experiences. And why?

Because he believes that video games and other media do matter and they’re the opportunity to make the world a better place.

Now I dare someone to come and tell us that fiction is “just for fun” and we shouldn’t care about proper inclusivity in it.
